Digging for Early Porcelain, Stoke-on-Trent, 1998
The range of tiny vases made at Limehouse are the first true miniatures made in English porcelain and these copy the sets of Chinese toys that were popular in Holland especially. Unlike other Limehouse forms, miniature vases do not appear to have been made at Lund's Bristol or at Worcester. For an example made at Longton Hall see lot 213 in this sale.
