Two South Staffordshire enamel bonbonnières, circa 1770-80

Both modelled in relief with a recumbent spaniel, one with reddish brown markings upon a circular box, the pink ground embossed with colourful flowers and yellow scrollwork, the second dog with black markings, on a blue base, the lid with printed inscription, 'Have Communion with few, Be familiar with One, Deal justly with All, Speak evil of none', 4.3cm wide (2)
