A Clichy faceted double-overlay closepack millefiori mushroom paperweight, circa 1850

The tuft with an assortment of brightly coloured canes predominantly in shades of pink, green, white and blue, contained in a basket of white staves, overlaid in turquoise over opaque white and cut with a top window and five side printies, the base cut with fine diamonds, 6.9cm diam, 4.7cm high
