A good Dutch engraved light baluster marriage wine glass, circa 1760

The generous round funnel bowl decorated with two flaming hearts tied by ribbons upon a pedestal, beneath a radiant sun, within a rococo scrollwork cartouche embellished with foliage, the reverse inscribed 'HET GOED SUCCES/ VAN HET/ AANSTAANDE HUWELYK' (May your marriage be happy and successful), on a slender multi-knopped stem with an angular shoulder knop and a beaded inverted baluster set between knops, over a conical foot, 18.2cm high

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
