Numerous versions of the present composition are known, of differing sizes and with variations to the details, and by a number of different hands. Examples given to Francesco Tironi were offered at Sotheby's, New York, 1 June 1990, lot 78 and Christie's, New York, 12 January 1996, lot 121. A signed version by Jacopo Fabris is at Schloss Fredenburg (see: A. Morassi, 'Anticipazioni per il vedutista Jacopo Fabris', Arte Veneta, XX, 1966, pp.272-82, fig. 339) and an unsigned version was offered at Christie's, London, 11 December 1997, lot 105.
