Shown kneeling on a rounded base, the monumental female clutches a hollowed bowl with elongated arms framing her torso with voluminous pointed breasts. Her baby, grasping her back, wears an emblem on its back and looks to the left. The mother's head and facial features are proportionally large, epitomizing classic Yoruba form. The coiffure of both figures are finely incised and highlighted with florescent deep blue, probably Reckitt's Blue; smooth light brown patina throughout with encrustations in the crevices.
