The shield area of crescent-shape with a raised median ridge on each side with the end pointing down in the form of a stylized snake, the opposite end terminating at the end of a stylized bird or fish head curving down towards the handle; a projecting point flares out on the opposite end, suggestive of the dorsal fin of a fish. Just above the spiked end of the club's shaft is a crouching figure with a jutting face and flexed legs; fine shiny brown patina with reddish undertones.
