English, 18th century, 2 3/4 x 2 1/16 x 1/2 inches (66 x 53 x 13 mm) when closed, octagonal dial with inclining dial plate and folding ornately decorated gnomon, inset compass bowl with engraved pose, list of 18 towns and latitudes, signed "Will. Collier London fecit." Lacking folding latitude arc.
