A Louis XVI ormolu mounted acajou mouchete (plum pudding mahogany) and mahogany bureau a cylindre by Louis Moreau

Circa 1780
With oak lined drawers, the pierced brass three quarter galleried marble top above three short frieze drawers, each mounted with a guilloche panel and repeating opposing pairs of bellflowers interspersed with four berried flowerhead angle mounts, over a beaded and panel mounted cylinder, enclosing three short drawers, three conforming dummy drawers and a tooled leather inset slide, with one long central beaded panel mounted drawer below, flanked by a pair of short drawers to one end and a deep drawer to the opposing end, each with conforming beaded panel mounts, the deep drawer enclosing a coffre fort, flanked by rounded floral and foliate inset fluted angles, with a leather inset slide to each end, on fluted tapering legs terminating in toupie feet, one end stamped: 'L. MOREAU'. 128cm wide x 65cm deep x 116cm high, (50in wide x 25 1/2in deep x 45 1/2in high)
