A rare group of sixteen large Sèvres biscuit portrait medallions depicting the Rulers of France, early 19th century

Mounted in two frames, depicting amongst others Henri IV, Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette and two of her children, the Dauphins, Louis XVIII, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Charles X, all moulded en profil, all mounted in modern gilt-wood frames against a deep blue velvet, the medallions each varying very slightly in size and on average 8.5cm diam without their frames, the total size of the long vertical frames measuring 93cm x 15.5cm x 4cm, (16)
