A Berlin cabinet cup and saucer, circa 1815

The cup painted with a circular panel depicting the waterfalls at Tivoli painted in imitation of micromosaic, within red dash and gilt borders, the reverse with a lustre-ground panel decorated with gilt foliate scrollwork, enclosed by gilt foliate and burnished borders, the saucer similarly decorated, with a green band enclosing a gilt foliate motif on a pink ground in the centre, handle and cup interior gilt, the saucer: 13.5cm diam.; the cup: 8.7cm high, sceptre marks in underglaze-blue, blue dashes, painter's mark of a diamond in gold, faint impressed marks (very minor wear to saucer) (2)
