A Meissen figure of a lady of the 'Mopsorden', mid 19th century

After the 18th-century model by J.J. Kaendler, holding a pug dog under her left arm and with another at her feet, wearing a red=lined crinoline skirt and bodice decorated with indianische Blumen and with a foliate scrollwork border and a yellow underskirt, on a flared, gilt-edged pedestal with moulded recessed panels painted with figures in landscape settings, 28cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue (flat chip to rear edge of dress)
