A Sèvres blue-ground teapot and associated cover, painted by Dodin, circa 1796-97

Each side reserved with a finely painted panel depicting a Roman god titled in black, Isis on one side and Jupiter on the other, surrounded by a tooled gilt band flanked with gilt motifs with scrolls and anthemia, 13.5cm high, Sevres in blue, uu for the period September 1796-September 1797, and painter's mark k for Charles-Nicolas Dodin, incised marks (minute chip to the spout, cover restored) (2)
