For a discussion of this group see Baroque Luxury Porcelain, the Manufactories of Du Paquier in Vienna and of Carlo Ginori (2005), p.432f, nos.285 and 286, where it is noted that apart from the 20th century biscuit casts, there are no known surviving examples of this group in porcelain. The wax model for this group is listed in the inventory of models at Doccia and was made by Vincenzio Foggini, the son of Giovanni Battista, who was paid for an Amore e Psiche group and other items on 5 November 1748. The group is discussed by Klaus Lankheit, Die Modellsammlung der Porzellanmanufaktur Doccia (1982), p.121, 22:17, ill.124, based on the biscuit casts taken after the original moulds.
