Footnotes

A painted example of this rare figure is illustrated by Hans Christ, Ludwigsburger Porzellanfiguren (1921), pl. 90. A large-scale, slightly different version of this figure was sculpted by Weinmüller for a series of statues for the parterre of the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna (published by U. Schedler, Die Statuenzyklen in den Schloßgärten von Schömmbrunn und Nymphenburg (1985), ill. 9).
