A Meissen tea service, circa 1763

Each moulded with gilt-edged lobed, arched panels, painted in purple camaieu with flower sprigs and further scattered blooms, the cups, saucers and bowl with wavy rims, formal gilt borders, comprising: a teapot and cover, a milk jug and cover, a tea canister and cover, a sugar bowl and cover, a waste bowl, a shaped small tray, six teacups and saucers, in a later fitted case, the teapot: 11.5cm high, crossed swords marks and dot in underglaze-blue, three with crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, various impressed numerals and letters (cover of tea canister restuck) (22)
