A pair of Meissen teabowls and saucers, 1723-24

Painted with Chinoiserie scenes within gilt scroll- and strapwork cartouches filled with Böttger lustre and edged with iron-red scrollwork, the reverse and interior of each teabowl with indianische Blumen, gilt scroll- and strapwork borders to the rims, the teabowls: 4.5cm high; the saucers: 13cm diam., gilt numeral 65. to all, incised / inside footrims (gilt borders worn, small chip to rim of one teabowl) (4)
