A Meissen teabowl and saucer, circa 1725

Painted in the manner of P.E. Schindler, the saucer with a chinoiserie scene depicting a figure flanked by a tree and rockwork and a table with objects, within a gilt quatrelobe cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and edged with iron-red scrollwork, the teabowl with two similar cartouches and a circular medallion with flowering branches issuing from rockwork and a fence on the inside, gilt scrollwork borders to rims, the saucer: 13cm diam.; the teabowl: 4.4cm high, gilt numeral 77. to both, each with / incised inside footrim (2)
