The well finely painted with a scene depicting peasants and farm buildings in a partially-wooded landscape, within a stiff-leaf border and floral border to the rim tooled on a burnished gilt ground, 25.1cm diam., sceptre mark in underglaze-blue and dash in iron-red, impressed 22 and III, stencilled E.A.F.C. in black [Ernst August Fidei Commis], applied paper label with inventory number 663 in black ink
