There is a similar Greek foot guttus from South Italy in the British Museum, museum no. 1772,0320.687, and another similar in the Metropolitan Museum, New York, acc. no. 06.1021.263; both examples also have a strainer at the top and a lion-headed spout at the back of the heel. The above lot retains a rattle within.
