A fine 18th century Dutch silver hot water / tea urn

Maker's mark PB within an outlined punch, Pieter Bonser, Amsterdam, 1744
Of pear form, curved neck with flared rim, with shaped scroll drop handles either side, bellied lower body, the whole later engraved with cartouches of foliate and shell decoration among diaperwork, also engraved with script initials below a crest, on a fixed base, with pierced scroll apron between three scroll supports, the waisted shaped-domed pull-off cover with petalled bud finial, with engraved acanthus and foliate scrolls among diaperwork, 23cm wide, 23cm deep, 44cm high (9in wide, 9in deep, 17in high), weight 74 troy oz, weight 2302.7gms.
