Johannes Schiotling, Amsterdam, 1767
The plain slightly tapering body applied with trailing flowering branches with foliage, the scroll handle with trailing leafy decoration over a wavy textured ground, on a spreading moulded base, the hinged domed cover with cast foliate open-work thumbpiece, chased with scrolls, flowers and rocaille ornament, 21cm wide, 16cm deep, 23cm high (8in wide, 6in deep, 9in high), weight 46 troy oz, weight 1,433gms.
