Possibly 17th century, marked indistinctly on base and cover
Of circular form, the cover and sides repoussé in high relief, the pull-off cover depicting a seated female figure and three putti, with buildings and trees depicted in a hillscape, the sides with birds among acanthus leaves over a stippled ground, the underside finely engraved depicting Rebecca and Eliezer at the Well, with three camels in the scene, 8.7cm wide, 8.7cm deep, 4.5cm high (3in wide, 3in deep, 1 1/2in high), weight 3.88 troy oz, weight 120.1gms.
