A pair of Empire gilt bronze ewers attributed to Claude Galle (French, 1759-1815)

The scrolled handles surmounted by cockerel heads, the spouts mounted with palmette and foliate wrapped masks above stars, the bodies mounted by musical trophies, trumpeting and dancing muses on waisted socles with pierced palmettes and square plinth bases, 18cm wide, 9cm deep, 38cm high (7in wide, 3.5in deep, 14.5in high) (2)
