Petrus Schenk (1660-1711), who was responsible for the print sources so often reproduced on Chinese export porcelain, produced various sets of engravings of Dutch views. These include the gardens of Dutch country houses such as Duinrell, Rozendael and the Royal Palace of Het Loo. They were collectively published in Paradisium oculorum; sive Conspectus elegantissimi centym..' from 1703. Schenk was not the only source used, the famous topographical publication De Segepraalende Vecht, Vertoonende verscheidene Gesichten van Lustplaatsen published in Amsterdam in 1719 contains 98 engravings by Daniel Stoopendaal (1672-1726) of houses and gardens along the Vecht river.

The repetition of the same scene on this plaque indicates a standardisation of these print sources, and is with great exception one can identify these locations with certainty on Dutch Delftware plaques (see: S.Lambooy, Dutch Delftware Plaques: a Blueprint for Delft, Aronson, 2009).
