Early 18th century
Of shaped bow-ended swept rectangular form with gadrooned and strapwork cast border decoration and applied cartouches and bearded masks, the top (probably originally inset with a decorative panel) fitted with three canted tapering receivers with concave trellis and foliate panel decoration comprising a central receiver fitted with a removable sander flanked by two inkwells with hinged lids, on paw feet, 36cm wide, 24cm deep, 11.5cm high (14in wide, 9in deep, 4 1/2in high)
