A pair of late Louis XVI ormolu and white marble cassolettes

Early 19th century
The vase bodies on tripod supports with classical female bust finials terminating in hoof feet, the pierced girdles united by beaded and tasselled garlands, the domed covers with fruiting finals, reversing to swept guilloche cast nozzles, the circular bases with leafy centres raised on circular plinths, with beaded borders, 10cm diam., 22cm high (3 1/2in diam., 8 1/2in high) (2)
