A pair of Restauration ormolu mounted opaline glass vases

Circa 1825
The baluster-shaped urn bodies with flared necks, the engine-turned milled collars and multi-scrolling twin florette handles with stylised anthemion terminals, raised on knopped circular bases with milled borders, 19cm wide, 11cm deep, 27cm high (7in wide, 4in deep, 10 1/2in high) (2)

This type of opaline glass with its milky effect is commonly called 'bulle-de-savon'.
