A Dutch Delftware plaque, circa 1740-60

Decorated with a chinoiserie scene in polychrome colours of a 'lange Lijs' or lady, holding her child in her arms, two attendants near her, flanked by prunus and chrysanthemum bushes sprouting from behind banded formal hedges, and to her left a formal enclosed rock garden, birds and insects surrounding the scene, all within a formal scrollwork border picked out in polychrome colours, 34cm diam x 2cm deep x 38cm high, (13in diam x 0 1/2in deep x 14 1/2in high)
