Finely carved in openwork with a pheasant perching on a prunus stem encircled by leafy bamboo stalks and pine branches, the stone of a brilliant white tone, box.

十八世紀 白玉透雕雉雞梅花紋小香薰
The plum blossom, together with the pine and bamboo, was one of the auspicious 'Three Friends of Winter', symbolising regeneration, hope and perseverance, making it a suitable theme for scholars.
