Footnotes

The mark reads Zhonghong shi jiacang, which may be translated as "the family heirloon of the Zhonghong family".

This form of incense burner is also known as ma cao lu, meaning "the trough-form incense burner", which started to gain popularity during the Ming and Qing dynasties. See a related example sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 27 November 2013, lot 3579.
