Toplevers, ribs and forends numbered '1' & '2' in gold, the action-bodies with best bold foliate-scroll engraving with gold maker's names in scrolling banners, carved oak-leaf fences, virtually-full hardening-colour, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, articulated front triggers, highly-figured stocks, the chopper-lump barrels engraved 'J. Purdey & Sons, Audley House, South Audley Street, London, England' and signed 'D.S.' with game-ribs
