A Rare Basket-Hilted Regimental Infantry Sword

With bright curved single-edged blade with a narrow fuller along the back-edge for most of its length on each side and stamped 'S. Harvey' on both sides at the forte, half-basket guard of slender flat iron bars, the slender side panel shaped and pierced with two pairs of ovals, made in one with a ring at the top beneath a bun-shaped pommel with button finial, and spirally-grooved fishskin-covered grip bound with twisted brass wire
