A George IV 1822 Pattern Infantry Officer's Sword
By Drury & Son, Sword Cutler, 32 Strand, London, Circa 1830

Of regulation pattern, with bright slightly curved pipe-back blade etched on both sides with crowned 'GR IV' cypher within a wreath of laurel, and with the maker's details on one side at the forte, ormolu hilt incorporating crowned 'IV' against cast and pierced symmetrical foliage in an oval, and retaining most of its original gilding, in its brass scabbard (locket repaired, minor old dents)
