The first with slightly curved single-edged blade fullered along the back and stamped with running fox mark of Samuel Harvey of Birmingham along each side, and iron hilt comprising figure of eight guard and seamed tubular grip (pitted overall); the second with bright fullered blade double-edged at the point, brass hilt with sprung button scabbard catch on one side, and spirally-grooved fishskin-covered grip, in original black leather scabbard with brass locket and chape, the former with frog-button (2)
