Two 3rd Pattern F-S Fighting Knives
The First By Wilkinson Sword Co. Ltd., London, WWII Period

The first with tapering double-edged blade (some file marks and patination) of flattened diamond section, the forte etched on one side with maker's details in a foliate panel, and on the other 'THE F-S FIGHTING KNIFE', blackened steel ovoidal guard, and ribbed zinc-alloy grip, in its brown leather scabbard with brass chape and leather suspension tabs (elasticated retaining band missing); the second of similar form, with plain blade (tip missing), ovoidal brass guard and brass tang nut, in its brown leather scabbard with brass chape (suspension tabs removed, elasticated retaining band missing) (2)
