A Rare Norwegian Powder-Flask
Late 17th/Early 18th Century

Formed from a section of cowhorn with turned nozzle (minor chip), the body characteristically carved in bas-relief with panels depicting Adam and Eve with the serpent in the Garden of Eden, a male figure and a dragon, and cavalrymen, all between inscriptions in capital letters, and with wooden base-plug secured by iron tacks
14.5 cm.
