A Highland Silver-Mounted Dress Powder-Flask
Late 19th Century

With polished cowhorn body of tapering curved flattened form, cushioned basal mount embossed and chased with thistles and set with a large oblong imitation cairngorm against foil, nozzle chased as a thistle and with threaded pricker, two suspension rings each on a thistle mount, and suspension chain of oblong and circular links; together with a pair of white-metal shoe buckles, each embossed and chased with thistles (3)
