An Italian Two-Hand Sword

With broad tapering double-edged blade with three shallow fullers over a third of its length on each side, one side with latten-inlaid triangular double cross mark beyond, hilt comprising recurved iron quillons widening slightly towards the tips, original leather-covered wooden grip over cord bindings, and large wheel-pommel with circular recess on both sides centred on a pellet, and surmounted by a flat rectangular tang plate (old pitting)
