China, late Qing dynasty, decorated with various stone insets including coral flowers and various beads of agate, turquoise, and jade, the metalworks embellished with Buddhist female deities, bats, shou characters to the front, openwork checkers of double coin and, "wan," character designs to the back, enameled with goldfish, a vase with peaches, and mythical creatures in blue and green, with a gilt-lacquered wood box with dragon-and-cloud design in relief,
