The History of Hyder Shah, alias Hyder Ali Khan Bahadur: And of his Son, Tippoo Sultaun. London: W. Thacker & Co., 1855. 8vo, full brown morocco gilt, inner dentelles, binding signed by W.H. Dalton, all edges gilt, 4 engraved plates (3 hand-colored). Corners lightly bumped, very slight edge wear, some offsetting from illustrations.

"By M.M.D.L.T., general in the army of the Mogul Empire, revised and corrected by His Highness Prince Gholam Mohammed, the only surviving son of Tippoo Sultaun." With Gholam Mohammed's calling card fixed to pastedown, along with a larger card inscribed, "This Book was presented to me by His Highness Prince Gholam Mahumed son of Tippoo Sultan on the occasion of my visit to him, 9 June A.D. 1859. British Hotel, Cockspur Street, London."
