First American edition, 8vo, publisher's green cloth with illustration stamped to front in black and gilt, frontispiece and 173 illustrations in text by E.W. Kemble, photogravure plate of bust of Mark Twain opposite frontispiece.

Has "Huck Decided to Leave" on p. 6, "Him and another Man" assigned to p. 88 on illustrations list on p. 13, "with the was" on p. 57, missing "l" in "Col." on p. 143, broken letter "b" on p. 143, missing signature at the bottom of p. 161, and missing "5" in the page number "155."
