The Workes of Our Ancient and learned English Poet, Geffrey Chaucer, newly Printed. London: Adam Islip, 1602. 2nd edition edited by Thomas Speght, folio, contemporary calf with stamped ornamentation to front and rear, title page with woodcut illustrated borders, frontispiece with engraved portrait of Chaucer and armorial illustrations, second title page with woodcut of Chaucer's coat of arms, woodcut of the Knight on B1, woodcut initials and head- and tailpieces, and errata leaf. Covers heavily worn, spine mostly missing, portrait of Chaucer loose. With bookplate and owner's inscription of Thomas Fuller, M.D. (1654-1734), with Latin motto inscribed: "Nil sine prudenti fecit ratione vetustas" [the ancients did nothing without a good reason].
