Sheet iron hilt, broad counter-guard and tapering knuckle bow connected to a pommel cap with black-painted ring-turned wood grip; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and narrow fuller, faintly marked at the top of the right side of the blade "US/[N]STARR" and "K" on the left side; iron scabbard with remnants of black paint, round button and diamond attachment shield.
