George Wein (1925-2021) was a jazz pianist and music festival promoter, most notably of the Newport Jazz and Folk Festivals.
Proceeds from the sale of this work are to benefit Newport Festivals Foundation, whose mission is to create moments of hope through the power of music and community.
Joyce and George Wein believed in the power of music, art and education to uplift all people. They devoted their lives to sharing these areas of interest by creating music festivals, collecting art and supporting institutes of higher learning. The Joyce and George Wein Foundation was created to continue their legacy of shining the light on the arts and education. The organization contributes to programs which offer new cultural experiences in hopes of sparking a lifetime of creativity and giving.
