Whether you're looking for antique rugs for the floor or early pieces of woven art to hang on the wall, you are sure to see many exciting and sophisticated pieces in this auction. We will once again be offering several antique room-sized carpets, including Heriz and Serapis, soft-toned Oushaks, and finely woven Keshans. Many other collectible rugs from the Caucasus, Anatolia, and Persia are also included in the sale, such as unusual Kazaks, delightful Ladik prayer rugs, and whimsical southwest Persian pieces. We included many rare textiles in this auction to complement the rugs we are offering. You will find early weavings from the Greek islands, a unique 17th-century green-figure Azemmour embroidery, beautiful textiles from Armenia, and several noteworthy Persian and Indian pieces. The auction will run online for ten days, beginning on Sunday, May 28th, and ending Wednesday, June 7th. Previews will be held in our Marlborough gallery on June 5th, 6th, and 7th from 10 am to 4 pm.
