China Trade Chippendale Side Chair,

late 18th century.
Carved shell crest with scrolled ears, carved and pierced splat between scratch beaded stiles forming rear legs below through-tenoned seat rails, the front cabriole legs having acanthus carved knees ending in claw and ball feet, joined to the rear legs by baluster-turned stretchers, rear left foot repaired, 60cm wide, 55cm deep, 99cm high (24in wide, 22in deep, 39in high).
