On one sheet of lined paper with "Mentor, Ohio" letterhead, mounted in a paper frame, dated "Dec 18th"  and addressed to "Mr Herbert Estill, Boston, Mass." It reads, "Dear Sir: Yours of the 15th inst., from Washington, is received. I do not expect to visit New England at present. I shall be kept here during the holidays. Thanking you for your letter I am, Very Truly Yours" (fold marks, penciled notes on paper frame stating "this letter was written the month after he became President-elect"), 9 ¼ x 7 in.
