Jethro Tull: Martin Barre's Custom-Built Schecter Stratocaster-Style Electric Guitar,

serial number CS8416, a one-off instrument, all-natural finish, with solid mahogany body, three EMG pickups, three volume/tone controls, selector switch, tremolo arm, black scratchplate, one-piece Pau Ferro neck, headstock with six in-line tuners, in case with photograph of Martin with the guitar and a concert programme, and a letter of provenance from Martin Barre,

Provenance:
This guitar was built to Martin Barre's specification by Charlie Chandler of Chandler Guitars, Kew, London, circa 1982. Martin has confirmed this guitar was played on Jethro Tull albums 'Broadsword and the Beast', specifically on tracks "Pussy Willow", " Fallen on Hard Times", and others. The guitar was one of two guitars exclusively used on the Grammy-winning album by Jethro Tull, 'Crest Of A Knave', 1987, particularly on "Said She Was a Dancer", "The Waking Edge", "Farm on the Freeway" and "Budapest", also appearing on Rock Island. Martin toured with this guitar from 1982-1986. He states, This guitar is a truly special bespoke instrument and a very important part of Jethro Tull and my sound,
