Commenting on modern Congolese life using metaphorical imagery, Cheri Sambas oeuvre is iconic in presentation and consistently displays the artist's vivacious imagination. The present work follows the narrative of Samba's whereby he gained success by trusting his own ideas which had resulted in his successful career, growing and evolving from humble beginnings. The animated nature of this painting contributes to the bright palette to present an optimistic work.
